Extraordinary Custom Homes in Kamloops

Pushing the creative envelope to make your vision come true.

Stewart Peak

A hike to Stewart Peak inspired this build. In keeping with natural textures and clean sightlines, we wanted to bring the grandeur of a mountain upon entering with a generously spaced foyer. Textures throughout the space pay homage to mountain elements from the rock-surround fireplace to natural woods in the kitchen millwork and warm soft tones throughout. The layout boasts of flexibility and caters to those searching for their forever home.

Entertainment abounds in a open concept living area. A chefs kitchen with a private butlers pantry create the perfect canvas for dinner parties and holiday gatherings. An alpine-shaped wine rack to accompany the wet bar is ready to display your collection.

Family spending the weekend can enjoy sleeping in their own quarters downstairs. Recreation space gives your grandchildren a space to call their own for playtime while your own private escape awaits in the upstairs master bedroom with four-piece ensuite.

Athabasca

Athabasca glacier is the gateway to the Columbia Icefield and its unique bold characteristics nestled between mountain peaks is what gave us the inspiration to keep it as our theme for the build.

Just as the glacier toe gives visitors a glimpse into the ecological wonder of the site, the goal of this build was to incorporate the surrounding environment as much as possible. This was accomplished by ensuring as much sight to the outdoors while maintaining privacy.

The focal point throughout is to have a clear sightline through the front of the house to the world renowned golf course it backs onto. The design style of the home embraces cooler elements with white and cream coloured tones to the marbled kitchen countertops which conjures the glacier’s various crevasses. Wood accents are highlighted throughout and coupled with soft lighting to keep the interior calm and inviting.

High contrast, bold exterior finishes frame the house with metal accents and an alpinist edge.

Mt. Ida

Fusion of History and Natural Elegance

Nestled amidst the rich history of John Thornton, whose legacy rests in the mountain’s embrace, Mt Ida stands tall with its plateaus reminiscent of its miner’s tales. Drawing inspiration from this narrative, our architectural endeavor sought to mirror the mountain’s character in its design ethos.

At the heart of our approach was a commitment to capturing the mountain’s essence. Low roof lines echo the flat plateaus atop Mt Ida, seamlessly blending the home into its natural surroundings.

Embracing the mountain’s innate allure, we opted for natural elements, evident in the clay plaster gracing the fireplace and the pervasive wooden accents that thread through the home. These deliberate choices create a sense of harmony, evoking a rugged yet elegant atmosphere.

The house resonates with a masculine vibe, a tribute to the mountain’s stoic presence. Darker hues and clean lines define its aesthetic, while ensuring functionality for a thriving family life.

Versatility is paramount, offering the option of a one or two-bedroom legal suite in the basement. With a strategically placed bedroom separated by two fire-rated doors, the design provides flexibility, enabling seamless integration into your living space or potential use as a rental unit.

Modernity meets practicality in the kitchen’s design, where countertop return windows serve as a chic backsplash, doubling as an effortless cleaning solution. Moreover, the seamless connection between the kitchen and the patio creates an ideal space for hosting unforgettable barbecues, merging indoor comfort with outdoor allure.

Mt Ida represents more than just a residence; it embodies a tribute to history, a celebration of nature, and a haven for modern living.

O’Hara

Celebrate all facets of this property by having picturesque views from every corner. The O’Hara build is inspired by a cross country ski trip to the historic Lake O’Hara in the Canadian Rockies.

The narrow trek winds amongst the waterfalls cascading down granite walls which collects in the serene lake located in the mountain pass.

The stillness, openness and privacy of the building site are what inspire this future home. The view point of the valley from this build’s location has no neighbours and we’re excited to show you how we’ve used this to our advantage.

The en-suite freestanding tub with floor to ceiling windows and an unobstructed view is the crown jewel of this plan among many other treasures. Wood burning fireplaces, outdoor patio features and natural wood tones are highlights for this idyllic setting.
